The Butterfly is a major renovation project of an abandoned building. The new office building, including the new addition has a GFA of 9,800 m2 including underground parking, is located within a residential area and was certified with LEED v4 for Core & Shell at Gold level in 2019.
The seamless integration of the project into the adjacent urban context was of top priority, which resulted in the extended vegetated areas of the project at ground as well as roof levels. Optimized indoor conditions as well efficient energy and water systems have contributed to the creation of a holistically sustainable asset which is balancing energy efficiency with indoor healthy environment.
